The report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward: “Cultural self-confidence.” The manifesto of this era also points out that culture is the soul of a country and a nation. Prosperity of culture means prosperity of the country, and a strong culture means a strong nation. Without a high degree of cultural confidence and cultural prosperity, there would be no great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Culture is the backbone and soul of a nation. It creates the soul and character of a country and a nation. A nation can exist in the world only if it has cultural self-confidence. Only when the people have faith can the country have strength and the nation have hope. Cultural self-confidence is the most important factor contributing to these goals. 

Tang Enyun, formerly known as Tang Shuyun, male, was born in Baiyun District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province on April 14, 1982. He is currently a member of the Ink Painting and Calligraphy Institute of China Education Television “Ink Painting and Painting Program Group”, a member of China Couplet Association, a special artist of China National Art Painting and Calligraphy Institute, Sydney China Painting and Calligraphy Institute, a special artist of Los Angeles Hantian Art Network, a member of the New Literature and Art Group Calligraphers Working Committee of China Calligraphy and Painting Association, a director of the 2nd Council of National Architecture Institute of China Painting and Calligraphy Professional Committee, a director of Shandong Qufu Hongru Painting and Calligraphy Institute, a member of the People’s Literature and Art Association, and a contract painter in Beijing Mo Yuan Painting and Calligraphy Mall

He loved painting since childhood, and he loved Chinese painting deeply. With great concentration and perseverance, he has never been instructed by a famous teacher, nor has he followed a painting teacher. He has never attended an art school or an art correspondence college. In order to paint his paintings well, he takes his own picture books to sketch in places where there are flowers, grass and birds, paints whatever he saw wherever he goes, and earnestly creates his paintings.

For a long time, he has been studying freehand flower and bird paintings, especially good at fish, shrimp, myna, eagle, peacock, lotus, peony, wisteria and other flower and bird works. Because of the financial constraints of his family, he has lived in an extremely difficult family since he was a child. In order to make a living, he has worked as a courier, a coal delivery worker, a miner, and a coal digger, and has done almost all kinds of hard work and dirty work. However, he is a man who refuses to admit defeat. He believes that one day he will become a professional painter with artistic achievements through unremitting efforts.

At present, his paintings are fresh, natural and elegant, showing a quiet, peaceful and profound style.
