Cynthia Rhodes Joins With SCORE to Volunteer Business Expertise and Advice for Small Businesses

How do I know… As a woman of color and a single mother of five. I didn’t want to be a business owner. Just like with the pandemic, I wasn’t getting child support nor receiving govt assistance and needed the flexibility to take care of my children back when there wasn’t the option of remote work nor school.
Entrepreneurs and micro-business owners get quality and professional help to properly manage their business. They learn business management and how to qualify for government business loans and grants

United States Cynthia Rhodes of Rhodes Porter LLC, a small business consulting company, has announced its partnership with SCORE to volunteer business expertise and advice for small businesses.

Over the past few years, Cynthia Rhodes has helped small businesses stay focused, know their numbers, and use strategy to increase sales and profitability. Along with top experts with SCORE, she will be helping many businesses affected by the COVID 19 pandemic find the right solutions for their challenges.

Cynthia will also be helping business owners understand the fundamentals of how business works, beyond production. Businesses will learn proper administration and how to take advantage of government programs like SBA loans and Community Development Financial Institutions.

SCORE started in 1964, makes up America’s largest network of volunteer and expert business mentors. They have helped more than 11 million small business owners. The organization currently has over 100,000 business mentors providing education and mentorship for small business communities.

Many small business owners, especially people of color, understand production and output, but lack in areas of how to show proven processes of the administration and business management. This  makes business owners unable to take advantage of government-backed programs like CARES Act small business relief.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused so much pain for small businesses, with hundreds of thousands of businesses closing down. Cynthia Rhodes is working with SCORE because she believes that many small business owners need professional advice to manage, pivot and increase profitability in their business.

Entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, and micro-business owners, especially those of color, will learn how to make management decisions and develop plans and activate systemic marketing campaigns to increase sales.

Many business owners lack focus and don’t have any active strategic plans, which is why they invest more in motivational coaches instead of professional business development assistance with real results. Cynthia and her team are more than ready to help entrepreneurs know their weaknesses and build on strengths toward a solid business that will thrive.

There are so many opportunities out there micro-business owners are not taking advantage of to grow their business. These consultations will open their eyes to several opportunities provided by such programs as EDIL and PPP. They will learn how to structure their business in such a way that it will be eligible for business supports, loans, and grants.
