Helpers Life to Release an App that Helps People Cope with Mental Illness and Other Hardships

This company will offer a place where people in need can find the help they can get locally.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one in five Americans will experience a mental illness in a given year. Also, more than 50% will be diagnosed with a mental illness or disorder at some point in their lifetime. To help people with mental illness and those who undergo other hardships, mental health advocate Helpers Life is set to release an app bridging the gap between volunteers and victims. The app will act as a platform that gathers people in need and volunteers who are advocates for mental health.

“There are so many people who are homeless or starving. Helpers Life wants to build a platform for people in need and people who care to stand on together. Our app will focus on helping communities. It’ll be a place where people in need can find the help they can get locally. If millions of people did small good things, we can change the world,” said a spokesperson from the company.

The app will offer free services for volunteers and non-profit organizations. For people with mental illness and other hardships, it will give local information on where they can go, mostly through finding non-profit organizations in their area that they can help.

The Helpers Life app will act like a pager where, for example, a homeless shelter needs clothing. If this is going to be the case, everyone within a certain distance or a community will get an alert in real-time.

For volunteers, the app will keep track of all their volunteer hours. People say they need a job to get experience, but they need the experience to get the job. With Helpers Life, volunteers can help people to show qualities like leadership, camaraderie, etc.

For non-profit organizations, Helpers Life ensures that all its platforms are scam-free. Every non-profit will be verified. All the non-profit organizations will be able to ask for help, or host events to raise awareness of their cause.

As the pandemic remains to stay and affect many people’s mental health, Helpers Life aims to raise awareness of its product and services. “There are already a lot of people suffering, and we want to build a platform where people in need can stand with good people. We want them to get the help they need, and also to stay on the platform to help others,” shared the company’s representative. The company also welcomes people dealing with other hardships.

Helpers Life has social media accounts that interested volunteers and users can follow. For more information on the company, be sure to visit http://www.helperslife.org.
