Regional Medical Group announces its support of The Discovery Cottage during Autism Awareness Month.
Dale Jackson, Marketing Director of The Discovery Cottage is a brain-based program dedicated to helping students with learning differences discover their God-given gifts and abilities by facilitating growth in the sensory-cognitive, academic and social needs areas of each child. “When it comes to autism, there are just so many different aspects that are quite frankly, physically impossible for the public school system to respond to. Simple tasks like going to the restroom or managing external stimuli that can over-excite a child with autism can be tough obstacles for teachers who don’t have the proper training. On top of that, there are currently no special needs schools in Georgia, except for Discovery Cottage. As a seasoned business owner, a fierce advocate of autism awareness, and a loving father, Dale Jackson has blazed a trail through his home state since learning about his son’s autism diagnosis. He has helped affect state legislature regarding the medicinal treatment of autism, helped direct public awareness through various outreaches, and directed the marketing and promotion plan of The Discovery Cottage along with the superintendent of LaFayette Christian School, John Cipolla, to help children with autism and their families.
Regional Medical Group plans to support The Discovery Cottage through monetary contributions and public awareness on their social media channels throughout April’s Autism Awareness Month and beyond.

Many of these children cannot speak, are not potty trained, and cannot feed themselves, making the need for social studies, science, math less of an immediate priority. And that was really the straw that broke the camel’s back for Dale. The Discovery Cottage teaches these kids skills that they need.
