Savion Thompson goes by the name VonTheeDon, and those who are familiar with the fashion scene in Atlanta Georgia may already be familiar with some of his work. VonTheeDon came into this world with style. He was born on January 30th, 1998 in Gwinnett County, but moved to Atlanta to pursue his career dreams. Now VonTheeDon is one of Atlanta’s top creative designers on the rise.

How VonTheeDon Got Into Fashion

Although Savion always kept up with his style, he initially thought sports were his calling. Growing up he was one of the best basketball players at his school. He went on to study Civil Engineering at Savannah State University and was one of their student-athletes. During this time, Savion thought he was on top of the world.

Unfortunately, that was about to come crashing down. The basketball team needed to make some cuts and released Savion from their team. He even ended up losing his spot in the fraternity he had pledged to. It felt like he was losing his purpose in life, but then his mentor suggested that he look into a life detox program.

It wasn’t until he was in the middle of this program when Savion came across an old Steve Harvey episode where Steve was explaining that everyone has a gift and needs to walk and live with that gift. That really helped Savion put things in perspective and he started to explore the gift he had of being created and pursued a life in fashion. This is how VonTheeDon was born.

How VonTheeDon Has Come Out On Top

VonTheeDon launched his first fashion line, “MiyagiFaith”, in 2019. This fashion designer has so much potential, he dominated the scene within his first 2 years in the industry. His hard work and creative style have given him the opportunities to work with so many influential brands, including:

• Iann Dior
• Gunna
• Lil Baby
• Prince Charlez
• Yeezy (Kanye West)

This past January VonTheeDon directed his first showcase with his brand MiyagiFaith. He put a lot of focus on his evolution with streetwear and the music industry. This luxury streetwear and its name has an Asian inspiration. MiyagiFaith has a motto “Got to be in you, Not on you” to represent how a person should feel in the clothes. 

VonTheeDon is passionate about styling artists to create more brand awareness. He has become the Head Creative Director and Image Consultant to popular artist Hollywxxd Roxy. On top of it all, he is currently working on a couture furniture line to make every house a more luxurious place.
