Innocent Ekakitie – Young Star of Apple TV’s ‘Little America: The Baker’ Lands Supporting role in Netflix Film Series ‘Ivy & Bean’

Innocent Ekakitie joins the cast of the long-awaited NETFLIX film series, Ivy & Bean, directed by Elissa Down. The 7-year-old Nigerian American actor landed the role of Leo, after an international casting search for young actors. Leading out the cast is Keslee Blalock (Ivy), Madison Skye Validum (Bean), Good Girls’ Lidya Jewett, Emmy Award Winner Jane Lynch, Oscar nominee Nia Vardalos, Emmy Award Nominee Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Pretty Little Liars Sasha Pieterse, Marci T. House, Garfield Wilson and Jaycie Dotin.

Innocent co-starred in Little America: The Baker, alongside Ugandan actress and playwright, Kemiyondo Coutinho, which landed a 2020 Emmy Nomination Consideration. Innocent also recurs in Season 3 on ABC-Freeform’s Good Trouble in the role of Shine, the quick witted and rambunctious little brother who keeps everyone on their toes.  

Other projects include UMC’s For The Love of Jason and Warner Bros/Disney Television Studios pilot, Abbott Elementary, which recently received a series order from ABC.  As a Singer/Actor/Dancer, Innocent showcases his “triple threat” skills on Nickelodeon’s Face’s Music Party and will also be featured in Mortimer Productions Untitled Mickey Mouse Documentary, currently in development.
